Alison moved to the district in 2000 from Norwich.  She lives with her wife and has 3 adult children.

Alison was elected to the District Council in 2019 and has served as the Lib Dem lead on the Finance and Assets Committee, andwas elected to the County Council in May 2021 and is the Chair of the Pensions Fund Committee and the Pensions Fund sub-committee.She is also a City Councillor.

Alison is an accountant, working in Cambridgeshire, having previously worked for an international financial services company in London.

Alison has campaigned to save the green space at the former MoD site near the Princess of Wales hospital. Road safety is a very imporant to her, knowing the devestating impact of losing a loved one to a road trafiic colision.

As a mother of three children, I understand more than ever the many struggles and difficulties that parents and carers face when trying to raise their children while juggling their jobs. Unfortunately, when one or both parents are burned out, are going through depression, or are experiencing anxiety, this indirectly affects their children, affecting their learning at school.
