Alec has grown up and lived in Soham for over 45 years, and is both a town and district councillor.

Elected to the district council in 2019 he has evolved himself in the day to day activities of planning, licensing and operational services that the public and businesses regularly use.

Passionate about education he has been a maths teacher for over 10 years. Currently teaching adult education alongside working as driving instructor.

Alec sees the large scale development taking place in soham as a major cause of concern. Getting the balance right to provide affordable housing and stopping over development is the challenge. if elected for the next term in office, getting a new local plan and the neighbourhood plan adopted will be top of his priorities.
