Meet your Bottisham Candidates

Charlotte has lived in Reach, one of the villages in the Bottisham ward, for nearly 30 years. She lives with her husband and two adult children, and her mother lives in Ely.

Charlotte was elected to the District Council in 2019 and has served as the Lib Dem lead on the Audit Committee and the Lib Dem Deputy Group Leader.

Charlotte is a retired Accountant, who worked mainly for public sector organisations and charities. Before qualifying as an Accountant, she worked for the University of Birmingham as an archaeologist – including excavating at Sutton Hoo.

Charlotte wants to ensure that the Council’s Local Plan protects our villages whilst ensuring quality homes are built for local people.

She also enjoys working across Councils to achieve better buses, cycle ways and footpaths.

John was a lecturer in Applied Mathematics at the Open University for forty years, and witnessed how it gave so many people a chance to better themselves, and is proud of helping students to achieve their potential or more.

He is a Parish Councillor in his village, and helped with the Neighbourhood Plan. He enjoys tinkering with old motorcycles, gardening and classical music.
